Expression of Interest – Remote Kimberley Opportunity
Kimberley Regional Service Providers (KRSP) is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and adaptable candidates for a unique, dual-role opportunity supporting remote Indigenous communities in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
This position combines responsibilities across Municipal Services supervision and Essential Services maintenance, playing a critical role in supporting community infrastructure and day-to-day operations.
Due to the remote nature of this opportunity, we are inviting expressions of interest from candidates who are open to working in isolated locations and are seeking meaningful, impactful work.

KRSP delivers essential services, capital works, and municipal services to Indigenous communities across Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region, including the management of power, water, and wastewater systems, as well as critical maintenance and capital works that enhance the quality of life of Indigenous communities.

About the Opportunity
This is a residential, remote-based role where you will live and work within a community, contributing to both infrastructure reliability and community upkeep. Rent, utility charges, phone and internet costs are met by KRSP
You will be responsible for:
Essential Services (Technical Focus)
Inspection, monitoring, and basic maintenance of power, water, and wastewater systems
Routine checks of bores, pumps, tanks, distribution systems, and treatment facilities
Identifying faults, undertaking basic repairs, and escalating issues where required
Monitoring plant alarms, performance, and operational effectiveness
Maintaining accurate service records and reporting
Municipal Services (Supervisory Focus)
Supervising and supporting local Municipal and Essential Services Officers
Coordinating daily community maintenance activities including:
Waste management and landfill operations
Vegetation control and firebreak maintenance
General upkeep of community areas
Providing leadership, guidance, and support to a small, community-based workforce
What We’re Looking For
This role requires a hands-on, self-sufficient, lead by example individual who is comfortable working in remote environments and can manage both technical and supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Requirements
Ability to live and work in a remote community environment
Strong organisational skills and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Experience in maintenance, utilities, municipal services, or similar field-based roles
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
Current C Class Driver’s Licence
National Police Clearance
First Aid Certificate
Full Australian working rights
Highly Regarded
Trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or similar)
Experience working with power, water, or wastewater systems
Previous experience in remote or regional locations
Experience working within or alongside Indigenous communities
