EOI Data Engineering and Analytics

RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking Defence capability professionals with strong interpersonal and technical skills. The roles are full-time permanent roles and will support our clients and teams in planning and delivering major, complex Defence capability projects. We are seeking the following roles:

Data engineering
Data architecture and modelling
Data analytics
Data science and artificial intelligence.

Microsoft Azure (including Azure DevOps)

Cloudera (including Cloudera Data Engineering, Cloudera Data Visualisation, Cloudera AI and Cloudera Data Warehouse)
Kubernetes services (Red Hat / Azure)
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft SQL Server
Neo4j
Erwin Data Modeler
Alation
Apache (including Ozone, Solr and Atlas)
OpenText InfoArchive.

Key responsibilities

Deliver services for large Defence projects and programs
Apply knowledge and experience to identify risks and uncertainties and take these into account in planning, decision making and priority setting
Provide advice and develop reports and other data visualisations to support data led decision making
Prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Work independently through unstructured tasks
Develop and maintain relationships with new clients and enhance existing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Exercise strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
Exercise strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.

About you

3+ years’ experience
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience/training
Australian Citizen able to successfully obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance
Prior experience working on Defence capability projects is highly regarded
Strong team player who enjoys working in a team environment.
