AECOM's Remediation Team is seeking a Summer Science Intern to join our Environmental Team in southern Ontario. This position will integrate into a well-developed team of environmental scientists and engineers to provide support on various infrastructure and development projects across a range of sectors such as mining, transport (road/rail), water/wastewater utilities, renewable energy, and oil and gas.

As a Science Intern, you will work under supervision to utilize scientific principles and existing technologies to assist with environmental assessments and investigations. This role is ideal for someone eager to begin their career in the environmental consulting field while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting groundwater and soil sampling programs in Ontario.
• Collect and record data from field studies, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and environmental documents.
• Work with project teams to comply with standard operating procedures, environmental regulations and standards.
• Follow safety protocols and quality control measures are in all aspects of fieldwork.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidate must be pursuing a post secondary degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Environmental Studies or similar discipline, and must have completed at least two years of study.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel for field work if required
• Ability to work in both field and office environments

• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
