About the Position:

Walters is recruiting a Co-op student for Spring 2026 to assist the Health and Safety Department, in the Walters Corporate Office. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:

Work with the Health and Safety Specialist in developing a system for documenting, updating and maintaining safety related training & testing.

Collect and compile data and assist in preparing reports.

Support the learning management system and software for data collection (Weekly system audits of Safetyhub/Sitedocs)

Maintain HSE signs, posters, and communication boards. 

Participate in safety inspections and audits to verify compliance and escalate issues as required. 

Ensure scheduled milestones are met.

Provide support for other health and safety related projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.

Work Location:

Head office in Hamilton ON.

Position Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a registered college diploma/advanced-diploma, post-secondary co-op program in Health and Safety or a similar field

Knowledgeable in OHSA and applicable regulations.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communication

A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
