The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Entry-Level Software Developer to support our Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization and will assist with advanced development of the PAC3 missile defense system.
ADaPS (an organization of over 100 software engineers) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch Systems (SLS) Upper Stage, Satellite Efforts, and Advanced Missile Defense efforts including Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC3). ADaPS specializes in implementing rapid prototyping and development programs using small, adaptable agile teams. Position Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development and fielding of flight software for PAC3 seeker systems
• Assist with the design and development of test software for PAC3 seeker software
• Assist with the creation of software tools for use on the PAC3 seeker program
• Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills
• Use your talents to tackle complex problems on a variety of programs
• Develop technical products, plans, documentation, and briefings in support of program requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance post-start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• 1+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
• Operating system knowledge of LINUX or Windows
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 0 years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of directly related work experience OR 8+ years of related, relevant experience
• Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher
• 1+ years of experience in the software engineering or aerospace engineering industry
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices
• Experience with instituting and maintaining DevSecOps practices and processes
• Experience with real-time operating systems, e.g. VxWorks
• Experience with modern software development practices (Version Control, Agile, etc)
• Some work experience or knowledge of telemetry protocols and testing

Summary Pay Range/Experienced: $78,200 - $105,800
