Title: Entry Level Material Manager – Proficy MES Support

Location: Wabtec (GE Transportation) - Grove City, PA

Job Description:

The position will be the primary contact for manufacturing shop related issues with regard to the “Proficy” Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This MES system digitally tracks and documents the flow of raw materials into finished goods thru the Wabtec Engine Remanufacturing facility in Grove City.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide assistance to the manufacturing team in order to ensure operational integrity of the Proficy MES system.

Interact with shop floor personnel to disseminate instructions on Proficy software and the use of front line IT hardware (PC’s, I-pads, printers; etc.).

Work with personnel to resolve issues surrounding inputs from end users for material usage at the point of manufacturing.

Assist in collecting and reporting data to other groups to help identify areas for productivity gains.

Skills:

Self-directed work ethic with the ability to work well in a team environment.

The ability to be trained and learn on the job with regard to Proficy MES Software.

Qualifications:

Previous IT experience working with custom or off the shelf software.

Bonus Qualification; any familiarity or experience with software programming.

Be able to pass a drug screen and comprehensive background check.

Be available and capable to work an off-shift schedule to fill coverage gaps in the production schedule.
