At Laravel, our mid-market and enterprise clients often have the most unique and complex requirements associated with building, deploying, and monitoring their Laravel applications. They run mission-critical workloads on Laravel Cloud with Nightwatch to aid in observability, and depend on us to help them succeed from the very first conversation through long-term operation.

Our enterprise team partners closely with customers during sales outreach, onboarding, migration, and scaling, ensuring they have the technical guidance, best practices, and product expertise needed to run Laravel and use our products confidently at any scale. We work hand-in-hand with Go-To-Market, Solutions Engineering, Support, Site-Reliability Engineering, and Product teams to provide high-touch enablement to clients across all phases of the customer lifecycle.

It’s a highly collaborative, customer-facing group that blends technical literacy with Laravel expertise to guide clients towards successful outcomes with our products.

About the role:

As an Enterprise Success Engineer, you’ll be the primary technical partner and key client contact for a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise customers, stepping in during late-stage sales and staying engaged through onboarding, migrations, scaling, and long-term operations. You’ll build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, develop a deep understanding of their business, and act as their go-to technical advisor for leveraging Laravel and our products at scale.

You will be relentless in investigating, tackling, and triaging challenges that present themselves, using the tools at your disposal to make structured recommendations and remediations to real-time needs. You’ll own customer communication through technical onboarding, go-live, and scale-up activities.

This role blends technical problem-solving, relationship management, and consultative guidance to universally support enterprise clients with a white-glove approach.

This is not a developer role, but you’ll leverage a technical background to deeply understand customer needs, occasionally make code-level recommendations, and build/ contribute to internal tooling to facilitate your role.

This is a remote role, which may require occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise customers from onboarding through ongoing engagements.
• Guide onboarding and migration projects, including environment setup, private infrastructure and networking, database migrations, and more.
• Provide consultative technical guidance on best practices, deployment workflows, and application performance within our managed infrastructure.
• Contribute to, and leverage internal tooling to scale your ability to proactively monitor and address customer health and usage, reviewing key metrics to address risks before they become issues.
• Own bespoke challenges end-to-end, addressing real time client needs and acquiring new skills to resolve complex issues.
• Create and document client-ready materials such as professional emails, written guides, and presentations to facilitate discussion or progress.
• Advocate for customers internally by relaying product feedback and bespoke needs to Product and Engineering leadership.

Requirements:
• 2+ years of client-facing experience, directly engaging with clients across advisory, implementation, or ongoing operational cadences

• Experience with Laravel, the framework, in a personal or professional capacity
• Technical literacy of general web application constructs (frontend, backend, database, cache, object storage, asset bundling, etc.) and relevant cloud infrastructure/ deployment strategies (compute, networking, storage, security, etc.)
• Working knowledge of the commercial and technical tradeoffs of Cloud technologies, including concepts such as serverless, autoscaling, networking/ bandwidth, databases, and other related concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Based in EU or APAC timezones

• You have led or directly supported implementation, migration, or cutover efforts impacting production workloads
• You have written code that has made it to production, including side/ hobby projects
• You have experience working in a startup environment, in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS companies
• You have personal or professional experience with cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, or developer-focused platforms such as Laravel Forge, Laravel Vapor, Heroku, Vercel, Railway, etc.
• You work on side projects or have contributed to open source projects
