Enterprise Software Architect

We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Software Architect to help us design and scale the next generation of our platform, enabling it to serve millions of users with reliability, flexibility, and compliance.

As the architectural brain of our engineering organization, you will set the foundations for a modern, modular, and highly scalable system that can evolve with business needs and regulatory requirements.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will define architectural blueprints, guide engineering excellence, and ensure our systems are future-proof, secure, and able to thrive in both cloud and on-premises environments. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Define the Future Architecture: Create and maintain the architectural vision for a large-scale enterprise platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience.

Modernize Legacy Systems: Lead the transformation of complex, mission-critical applications into modern architectures using microservices, domain-driven design, and API-first principles.

Hybrid Deployment Strategy: Design solutions that run seamlessly in cloud-native environments (AWS) and can be adapted for on-premises deployments.

Champion Compliance and Security: Ensure systems meet the highest standards in regulated industries (HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).

Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders to align technical design with strategic goals.

Elevate Technical Excellence: Mentor engineers and establish architectural guidelines, best practices, and governance processes.

Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends and evaluate tools, frameworks, and practices that keep our technology stack state-of-the-art.

What You'll Bring (Requirements)

Proven Expertise in Architecture: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years as a solutions or enterprise architect for complex systems.

Hands-On Modernization Experience: Successful track record of transforming legacy systems into modular, service-oriented, or event-driven architectures.

Cloud & Hybrid Knowledge: Deep experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.) and designing systems deployable both in cloud and on-premises environments.

Strong Technical Acumen: Mastery of Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core, microservices, APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks for regulated industries.

Leadership & Influence: Excellent ability to communicate architectural decisions to executives, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Bilingual Advantage: Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.

Bonus Points

Experience in HealthTech, FinTech, or ERP systems.

Expertise in data architecture, analytics, and real-time processing.

Familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).

Passion for mentoring and building high-trust engineering cultures.

Location & Travel

This is a hybrid role that combines remote work with in-office collaboration—preferably located in Colombia (Medellín).

The position may require occasional international travel for strategic meetings, team off-sites, and client engagements.
