Job Description

Data Modelling and Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models for the EDW.
• Utilize expertise in OFSAA FSDF data model to design and map data structures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

EDW Architecture:

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the EDW, focusing on scalability, performance, and data integrity.
• Incorporate data integration and transformation processes to ensure seamless data flow between source systems and the EDW.

Data Integration:

• Develop data integration strategies to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various source systems into the EDW.
• Implement data quality checks and transformations to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Performance Optimization:

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the EDW environment.
• Optimize queries and data access patterns to enhance query performance and overall system responsiveness.

Documentation and Collaboration:

• Document data models, design decisions, and ETL processes for reference and future development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and business users, to ensure a cohesive and well-aligned data strategy.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data modelling, ETL processes, and OFSAA FSDF data model.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of the EDW ecosystem.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience 6 Years as a data modeler or EDW designer (10 years overall), with a focus on financial data.
• Strong understanding of the (OFSAA) Financial Services Data Foundation (FSDF) data model.
• Proficiency in data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio) and ETL tools - ODI. Solid knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of database queries and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Take part in requirement discussions with Business Analyst team. Data Profiling & OFSAA (FSDF) Data modelling.
• Prepare ETL architecture.
• Prepare mapping specifications.
• Prepare HLA.
• Prepare DSD / DSD review with development team.
• Develop Feeder views for critical tables.
