Enterprise Data Governance Analyst

Zoox is seeking an Enterprise Data Governance Analyst to help establish consistent, trusted, and well-managed data across the organization. You will strengthen Zoox’s data foundations by ensuring that data is high-quality, well-defined, secure, and usable for engineering, business, and AI/ML teams.

In this role, you will::
Maintain and evolve Zoox’s Enterprise Business Glossary, ensuring clear definitions, ownership, and alignment across systems and teams Partner with BizApps, PLM, AI/ML, Safety, and Engineering to validate terms, resolve definition gaps, and maintain semantic consistency Document business rules, data standards, metadata requirements, and critical data elements to support enterprise governance Support data quality initiatives by identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and helping define remediation approaches Contribute to evaluating Zoox’s Databricks environment to understand current capabilities and opportunities for governance at scale Maintain governance documentation, procedures, and workflows while supporting working groups and cross-team communications

Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field 4 to 6 years of experience in data management or data governance within a regulated environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured components Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar data analysis tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple concurrent tasks

Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with metadata management, business glossaries, or data catalog tools Understanding of data quality practices or governance frameworks Familiarity with enterprise applications such as SAP, PLM, or Salesforce
