Position Summary

Thales has a vacancy for an Enterprise Architect (fixed Term, Part Time)  is to ensure that the technical policy and strategic plan are well-defined and understood by the project, in line with the business objectives, and implemented accordingly.

Regulatory Compliance Requirement

This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List and/or the US the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Visualize and design data centric systems of systems of systems. Develop System Architecture documents and artifacts where functionality, performance, and cyber security are addressed as an integrated whole
• Work with critical system operators to capture key value and pain points
• Identify, vet, recommend, and collaborate with Thales’ partners
• Present solutions and designs to partners, customers, and internal stakeholders, including the preparation of RFP documents
• Contributing to the overall technical policy definition and its implementation
• Contributing to the Technology & Innovation strategy by eliciting needs from the business lines, and aligning with the Thales Group’s initiatives
• Providing coaching and tutoring on key strategic skills and techniques
• Contributing to technical specification definition and to subcontractor selection
• Lead the architecture practices (e.g., modeling, design, coding) as directed within one or more projects
• Informing and influencing key stakeholders to align with strategic direction

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with military (ideally Navy);
• Experience with enterprise systems / ERPs such as SAP, IBM Maximo;
• Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF of DNDAF; and,
• Experience with artificial intelligence techniques and toolsets.

Education:

• Graduate degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field.
