POSITION SUMMARY

The Enterprise AI Solution Architect serves as a key technical resource and trusted advisor to enterprise customers wanting to deploy AI in their data centers and edge sites. In this role, you will engage with both end users and partners, in designing and optimizing AI-ready data center environments, providing expertise and best practices in Vertiv thermal, power, and rack solutions, including control and management of these solutions. This role collaborates with Vertiv technical experts on thermal management, power, and IT physical infrastructure solutions, but is responsible for the complete solution.

This role is ideal for a technical sales leader who can bridge the gap between customer needs and data center infrastructure solutions, driving sales conversations while influencing product roadmaps.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer-Facing Engagement generated through partners and OEMs & Sales Enablement

Acts as the single point of contact for customers evaluating data center infrastructure for AI workloads
Works with partners and OEMs bringing Enterprise AI opportunities to Vertiv for cooling and power solutions
Engages with C-level executives, IT leaders, and operations teams to align AI infrastructure with business objectives.
Understands customer pain points and translates them into tailored thermal, power, and infrastructure solutions for high-density AI deployments.
Drives strategic conversations across various market segments, from hyperscale data centers to enterprise and edge AI deployments.
Performs site walks to assess customer AI site readiness, leads on-site and virtual technical discussions guiding customers through the AI infrastructure buying journey

AI Data Center Infrastructure & Solution Design

Advises customers on best practices for AI-ready data center infrastructure, including:
Liquid cooling & thermal management for high-power AI servers.
High-density power distribution and redundancy strategies.
Racks, PDUs, and airflow optimization for AI server clusters.
Edge AI infrastructure deployment for real-time data processing.
Positions company solutions against competitors, identifying unique differentiators to drive customer adoption.

Partner Enablement & Training

Participates in training partner Solutions Architects on how to position, sell, and implement AI-focused data center infrastructure.
Helps develop and deliver “Train the Trainer” programs to scale knowledge across reseller and VAR networks.
Works closely with channel partners and integrators to ensure they effectively position AI-ready infrastructure

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

Provides Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights to internal teams, influencing product development and roadmap strategy.
Identifies market gaps and emerging AI infrastructure trends, ensuring our solutions stay ahead of customer needs.
Conducts competitive analysis to strengthen our positioning in thermal, power, and IT infrastructure for AI deployments.
Collaborates with BU/PLs and CTO organizations to enhance solutions based on real-world customer feedback.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of experience in the data center industry.
Thermal management, power systems, or IT rack solutions experience.
Strong sales acumen, with experience in customer-facing roles and solution selling.
Must be resourceful, self-motivated, customer focused, able to work on a team and possess strong problem-solving skills
Ability to drive strategic conversations with CIOs, CTOs, and data center operations teams.
Experience working with channel partners, resellers, and integrators.
Familiarity with AI workloads, high-performance computing (HPC), and edge AI deployments.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the State of Washington locality is between $165,376-$206,778 per year, compensation ranges for other geographic localities may vary. In addition, this role is eligible for a monthly Sales Incentive plan on an 80/20 split. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO (Flex Plan) holiday pay (9 days), and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.

The anticipated salary for this role in the State of CO and CT locality is between $157,859-$197,379 per year, compensation ranges for other geographic localities may vary. In addition, this role is eligible for a monthly Sales Incentive plan on an 80/20 split. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
