Join SALHN's TPPP: Kickstart your nursing career with mentorship!

The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network is hiring for the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP), designed to support newly qualified nurses and midwives in their first year of clinical practice. The program provides a structured environment with mentorship to help consolidate skills and knowledge.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity awaits you to join the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) for Enrolled Nurses at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN)! Step into a dynamic role where you'll support Registered Nurses/Midwives in delivering person-centred care, ensuring continuity for patients, and improving patient flow. Work with a diverse team, caring for individuals from various cultural backgrounds, and gain invaluable experience across children, youth, and women’s health. You'll have the chance to develop your skills while staying accountable and making a real impact in patient care!

About you:

It is essential that you are registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or are eligible to hold a current practicing certificate, with unlimited work rights at the time of application.
You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
You’ll demonstrate sound time management skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and ability to recognise and report changes in clinical conditions, all while delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
This is a part-time temporary contracted vacancy, working 32 hours per week on a 7 day roster (this includes early, late and night shifts) and salary will be adjusted according to the actual hours worked - as this is a supported training program, there is no option to work below this.
This is for newly registered Enrolled Nurses with less than 6 months experience.

Applications do not close until 9 February. If you are shortlisted for interview, you will be contacted in February 2026. The position starts 16 May 2026 to 13 November 2026.

For full details, please see the attached Role Description.
