Join us as an Engineering Team Lead in our AI Platform division — the force behind intelligent email processing, AI-powered conversation insights, and robust data compliance systems that power applications used by thousands of companies.

In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of scalable infrastructure, machine learning innovation, and privacy-first engineering — leading a high-performing team to tackle complex challenges in communication intelligence and data governance. As the Engineering Team Lead, you will:

• Lead and expand a growing team of backend and frontend engineers.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to shape the team’s roadmap, balancing both product goals and engineering priorities.

• Lead by example, driving continuous improvement and optimization of our core application infrastructure.

• Design and architect long-term technical solutions that deliver a significant impact on both our wide platform and customers.

• Own a critical, high-load system at the heart of Gong’s operations — combining advanced AI capabilities with exceptional speed and efficiency.

• Coach, mentor, hire, and grow individuals on the team to reach their full potential.

You should apply if you are:

• An experienced team leader (3+ years managing people) with a hands-on approach.

• A software developer with 8+ years of industry experience, focusing on large-scale, cloud-based technologies.

• Proficient in Java and Spring framework.

• Experienced with user-facing products and UI development (advantage).

• Experienced with ElasticSearch or OpenSearch (advantage).

• Experienced with relational databases (advantage).

• Experienced with queue systems like SQS or Kafka (advantage).

• Holding a degree in computer science or a similar field (preferred).

• Passionate about motivating, mentoring, and developing team members.
