We are on the lookout for an Engineering Manager - Inventory Management in Quick Commerce Operations to join our team and help us build solutions that ensure accurate stock levels, efficient movement tracking, and high system reliability across our DMarts network. You will lead one of the core squads within the Dmart Tools domain, an experienced team focused on ensuring data consistency and real-time visibility across warehouses, a critical backbone of Quick Commerce.

You will manage a talented group of cross functional engineers responsible for building high-availability systems that handle millions of daily operations. Together, we will improve stock accuracy, prevent discrepancies, and ensure smooth order fulfillment in real time. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep incident management experience, and hands-on involvement in designing resilient, scalable services.

Responsibilities

• Understand & Strategize: Gain deep expertise in the Inventory Management and Dmart domain, contributing to both tactical and long-term strategy.

 

• Incident Management & Reliability: Lead and improve incident response processes, ensuring root cause analysis, service reliability, and preventive actions across systems.

 

• Collaborate & Prioritize: Partner closely with product, operations, and engineering teams to plan and deliver mission-critical Inventory Management initiatives.

 

• Team Growth & Hiring: Foster a strong engineering culture, mentor team members, and attract top talent to scale the team effectively.

 

• End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the full lifecycle of backend systems — from design and implementation to monitoring, scaling, and recovery.

 

• Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Align stakeholders, manage expectations, and balance technical depth with business impact.

 

• Scale & Innovate: Contribute to architectural evolution, improve processes, and ensure systems remain resilient and performant under high load.

  

• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience and leadership in Golang, microservice architecture, and production-scale distributed systems.

 

• Incident Management: Proven track record managing on-call rotations, leading post-incident reviews, and improving system observability and uptime.

 

• Leadership & Team Growth: Experience leading backend engineering teams and fostering technical excellence.

 

• Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of system design trade-offs (sync/async, data consistency, performance, idempotency).

 

• Tools & Infrastructure: Proficient with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.

 

• Collaboration & Communication: Strong communicator, decision-maker, and team player who thrives in cross-functional, global environments.

• Passion for Problem-Solving: Motivated to solve complex operational challenges in Inventory and Supply Chain domains at scale.
