As the Engineering Manager for the Platform Products team at Cribl, you’ll lead the team building the foundational features and services that define the Cribl-managed experience. Our mission is to build the products and services that customers interact with every day foundations that are essential to the Cribl ecosystem even if they aren't purchased directly.

You will lead a team that empowers other product teams to build, ship, and sell their products with ease. This is a high-velocity, hands-on technical leadership role where you will balance rapid product delivery with the architectural standards needed for a delightful, unified platform experience.

As An Active Member Of This Team, You Will...

• Build and grow exceptional teams: Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent capable of shipping quickly and maintaining high standards.

• Deliver at product speed: Drive projects from design to production, ensuring we ship product features faster than standard release cycles without sacrificing quality.

• Empower the Cribl ecosystem: Collaborate across engineering and product teams to build the foundations (like billing and workspaces) that allow other teams to ship and monetize their own products seamlessly.

• Own the customer journey: Take responsibility for the managed Cribl product experience, including domain areas like Billing, Dispensary, Workspaces, and Notifications.

• Champion operational excellence: Establish a culture of observability and reliability for customer-facing services. Ensure that even as we move fast, our foundational services are robust and scalable.

• Stay technical: Provide hands-on code reviews and architecture guidance. You’ll help navigate the complexity of building a multi-tenant managed product and jump in to support the team on production issues when needed.

• This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties

If You've Got It - We Want It

• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead: Experience managing high-performing teams, specifically those focused on product-facing platforms or SaaS foundations.

• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Comfortable staying close to the code when needed — guiding architecture, reviewing code, and helping unblock complex technical challenges.

• Strong Technical Foundation: Prior experience as a Tech Lead or Staff+ engineer building backend systems, with strong experience in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Frontend Experience (Nice to Have): Experience working with React or similar modern frontend frameworks is a strong plus.

• Product-Minded Leadership: A track record of shipping customer-facing features quickly and iteratively. You understand how to balance "speed to market" with "architectural debt."

• Operational Mindset: Deep experience running production systems with on-call rotations. You know how to build observable systems that provide a seamless customer experience.

• Proven Team Builder: A history of hiring and developing engineers who thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

• Collaborative Navigator: Skilled at driving alignment across diverse product teams and communicating the trade-offs of platform-level decisions to stakeholders.

• Systems & Cloud Depth: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and the "managed product" stack, with a curiosity to continuously improve the developer and customer experience.
