Engineering Manager (Meta)

Our mission is to build the leading AI-first platform for full-funnel conversational commerce in messaging channels, combining performance marketing with deep audience insights. This means creating features that help marketers easily craft, adapt, and optimize high-performing ads and enabling more meaningful, creative, and effective conversations between brands and their audiences.

We are technology agnostic and always strive to choose the best tools for the job. On the backend, our favoured stack is Node.js in combination with TypeScript usually coupled with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ. On the front-end side of things, React with TypeScript is the flavour du jour.

Our engineering teams consist of both product specialists and engineers, and alongside the lead engineer you will take the lead in delivering products and features in the right time with right content and brilliant quality. As an Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of getting the best out of people, through coaching, 1:1s, helping them build a development plan and in general removing blockers from the team's path.

About the team

This team owns the Meta offering, one of the most critical and widely used platforms in our ecosystem. Meta powers a large share of our customer workflows and operates at significant scale, requiring high standards for reliability, performance, and data integrity.

As part of this team, you will lead and contribute to key architectural and technical decisions, focusing on system performance, large-scale data processing, robust validation, and seamless integration with the Meta APIs. The work directly impacts how customers experience and trust our platform.

You will collaborate closely with a dedicated Product Manager, guide a well-balanced engineering team ranging from Junior to Staff level, and regularly engage with Meta engineers to ensure strong alignment, best practices, and forward-looking solutions.

What we’re looking for…

• You have experience throughout the full software life-cycle in an environment with multiple teams

• You have built and maintained large-scale, high-availability web applications with an active and growing user base

• You cares product accountability - we are using wide variation of product metrics to ensure our decisions are data driven

• You have experience in various agile development practices as well as the pragmatism to know which tradeoffs are acceptable and a sharp focus on delivery

• Ability to deliver constructive feedback that leads to meaningful changes and growth.

• Empathetic and user-focused: you care deeply about the product experience, you understand users’ motivations and frustrations, and you genuinely want to help them

• You have strong development and technical expertise. You will need to lead technical decisions in your team and might being hands-on when coaching the team members to new technical and professional heights, which can involve code reviews, pair programming, etc

• Ability to work from our Helsinki office three days a week
