Lead the Honda Airbag ECU development team by taking on the following responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee internal design activities (WCA, DFMEA, drawing releases, prototype builds, etc) per C40 process for current products as well as development projects during program reviews and technical engineering meetings. Such activities span both direct reports as well as cross-functional team members.
Direct planning activities of validation efforts between Engineering and Test Engineering teams.
Work directly with customer to understand all system/design/test requirements and ensure that requirements are implemented properly by respective engineering disciplines (hardware, software, mechanical, algorithm, manufacturing).
Manage overall activities related to plant support and SRCs Generate customer presentations outlining high-visibility field issues Provide Engineering input to plants and customer to resolve quality issues. Direct SRC related communications and testing
Report project status to upper management using Clarity updates, EPT tool for C40 process Provide program review and QOS material in conjunction with Program Management. Also provide budget inputs for all active programs.
Construct Engineering Quotation Response packages combining Engineering assumptions, BOM''''''''''''''''s, and ER&D inputs for CQA meetings to review viability of new programs.
Complete Employee evaluations, as well as hold regular 1-on-1 reviews, provide coaching, etc - Develop goals for each engineers, track progress, review status with each one of them as necessary and complete EPDP.
MUST:
1. BSEE/MSEE
2. 10 years experience in product development of automotive electronics.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal, email, presentations)
4. Ability to negotiate with both the customer and internal organizations.
5. Fluent in Japanese
