Team mission

The Checkout team is responsible for the checkout flow across our website and apps. Our mission is to deliver a seamless, fast, and secure path from activity selection to payment, helping travelers shortlist, book, and maximize value through low-friction checkout and easy-to-use accounts - driving conversion, competitiveness and sustainable customer growth for both new and returning travelers. The team is also driving a major modernization of our tech stack, with a focus on high-quality AI-first development and scalability.

Your mission

• Be responsible for all hiring and performance management topics on the Engineering side, helping your engineers reach their full potential

• Partner closely with your Product Manager to shape the roadmap and portfolio allocation, and drive high-impact delivery

• Find pragmatic solutions to complex technical challenges that span across multiple services, platforms and domains of our marketplace

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the business on strategic initiatives

Your toolkit

• You have a strong sense of ownership ensuring that technical and project plans are aligned with your stakeholders & team members for delivery

• Enjoy approaching complex topics with an open mind and eye for simplicity.

• Have a passion for people, supporting and coaching your engineers without going into micromanagement mode.

• Not only care about technical topics but are passionate about creating value for our customers and the business and apply that judgment to your own roadmap.

• Motivated to work in an international cross-functional environment.
