We are looking for an engineering manager who will translate our vision and enhance android applications of Meesho. As the android engineering manager, you will work closely with product/design/business teams to build the most user-friendly android applications. You would monitor and scale our teams, bring efficiency to the processes and implement the latest technologies to improve performance and reliability of our features.

Responsibilities:

• Build, hire, and lead a high-calibre team of android engineers

• Be responsible for setting and maintaining performance, latency, and efficiency SLOs

• Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development

• Set and support a culture of metrics driven quality, with efficient processes and strong transparency

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science with 8+ years of professional experience

• Worked on one or more Android apps published on play store

• Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and the ecosystem

• Familiarity with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns

• Experience with common Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch components, etc.

• Experience with different programming paradigms, esp. functional and reactive programming, multi-threading

• Familiarity with git and continuous integration

• Understanding of different architectural patterns (esp. MVVM) and their testability

• Excellent teamwork, planning, and collaboration skills
