About the role

The Wallet team owns critical product surfaces that enable merchants on Whop to do more with their earnings: earn yield, buy crypto, manage expenses, issue cards and more. As the engineering lead for swaps, you will build systems that let users seamlessly convert, move, and hold value across crypto and fiat rails. That includes routing swaps, integrating liquidity providers, managing quotes and execution, handling balances and settlement, and designing for strong reliability, security, and price transparency. We take financial trust seriously.

What you'll do

• Lead a new swaps initiative to enable millions of users on Whop to trade and invest assets on the platform

• Build out industry-grade swap infra across EVM and Solana

• Create a Web-2 Robinhood-style UX where users can swap instantly, without ever realizing they are on crypto rails

• Create the nicest onramp flow from fiat to crypto, with minimal friction

What you need

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a crypto-native engineering role

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect information

• Curiosity and drive to continuously seek ways to make the product better

• Ability to ship reliable software with a high attention to detail

• Experience with Next.js and modern frontend best practices

• Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Startup eg technical founder experience

• Experience building crypto wallets, swaps, exchanges, on/off ramps, stablecoin products, or payments infrastructure

• Strong product taste; you notice when flows are confusing, quotes feel opaque, or transaction states create unnecessary user anxiety

• Experience integrating third-party financial or crypto providers, especially liquidity, custody, KYC/KYB, compliance, payments, or settlement partners

• Comfortable with financial systems and understand how money moves across crypto, fiat, wallets, balances, ledgers, and settlement flows

• Experience designing reliable systems around quotes, execution, failures, retries, reconciliation, and edge cases
