We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director to lead the technology strategy, execution, and delivery for a Business Banking Value Stream. You will oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining critical banking products and services tailored to business customers. Your role will focus on aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, driving innovation, and fostering a strong engineering culture.

What You'll Do

• Define & Execute Strategy: Drive the technology vision and roadmap for business banking, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Lead & Grow Teams: Manage, mentor, and develop engineering managers and teams, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.

• Ensure Engineering Excellence: Establish best practices in software development, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product, design, and business teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver value to business customers.

• Provide Technical Oversight: Guide system architecture, tech stack evolution, and operational excellence to enhance performance, security, and reliability.

• Manage Delivery & Execution: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of technology solutions that meet regulatory, compliance, and business requirements.

• Drive Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of learning, technical experimentation, and modern engineering practices.

• Optimize Resources & Budget: Manage financial planning and resource allocation for cost-effective technology investments.

Who You Are

• Experienced Leader: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing multiple teams.

• Technical Visionary: Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (Azure, AWS or GCP), microservices, API development, and modern development frameworks.

• Agile & DevOps Practitioner: Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines and automation.

• Security & Compliance Savvy: Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking.

• Strong Communicator & Influencer: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.

• Problem-Solver & Decision-Maker: Strong analytical and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML, data-driven decisioning, or digital transformation in banking.

• Hands-on expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Background in scaling technology teams in a high-growth financial services environment.

• Banking & Fintech Expert: Proven track record leading engineering teams in banking, fintech, or financial services, ideally in business banking.
