Engineer Solar and BESS Advisory EMEA

UL Solutions is looking for a Engineer to support impactful projects and transactions within our Solar PV and BESS Advisory team in EMEA. This is an entry‑level role ideal for early‑career engineers interested in renewable energy projects across Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) .

As a Project Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of renewable energy projects by supporting energy modelling for solar PV plants as well as undertaking technical assessments in Due Diligence and M&A transactions working with multi disciplinary teams accross the region.

Execution of Energy Advisory related scopes including energy estimates for solar PV Projects, feasibility assessment, layout optimizations and LCOE calculations.
Prepare basic layouts for solar PV and BESS Projects together with single line diagrams on early stage assets.
Support on proposal preparations detailing a scope of work, team, budget and schedule for completion to satisfy client expectations.
Execute independent engineering (IE) and technical advisory (TA) services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of wind and solar plants and portfolios.
Review and analysis of project documentation, such as design packages, energy assessments, site data, construction plans, and O&M strategies.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.
Support senior project leads in project coordination activities, including scheduling, data collection, and progress tracking.
Participate in client meetings and internal project discussions, gaining exposure to commercial and technical decision‑making processes.
Stay informed about renewable energy technologies, standards, and market trends within the EMEA region.

Bachelor’s degree in Evironmental, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or any other engineering related to renewable energies
Master Degree in Energy or reewable energies
Fluent in English (bothe written and spoken)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and open to new digital tools and solutions.
PVSyst and AUTOCad skills are required
