About the role
The Energy Services Analyst is a key member of the Energy Services team and plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive tariff related support to our clients. Reporting to the Head of Energy Services, this role combines client relations with supporting internal departments.
The Energy Services Analyst will be responsible for supporting our Head of Energy Services by carrying out costs and efficiency analysis of Heat Networks, resulting in the creation and application of accurate tariff reviews for Insite Energy’s client base. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely billing, maintaining tariff documentation, and collaborating with various internal departments to optimise tariff structures and answering enquiries related to reporting data.
This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills, data inputting and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with, and supporting, the Head of Energy Services.
Energy procurement administration by supporting contract awards and renewals.
Gathering data from internal software systems and through stakeholder client engagement and communication.
Reviewing financial and efficiency performance of Heat Networks.
Calculating predicted operating costs and tariffs designed to recover costs.
Communicating calculations, risks & recommendations with a range of clients via meetings and supporting them in understanding these factors.
Analysing energy supplier quotes and validating bills
Actively understanding and staying up to date with any changes to the heat network regulatory requirements relating to tariffs and efficiencies.
Assisting with communicating tariff changes to customers through agreements with clients.
Data input across various internal/external platforms and systems once rates have been signed off.
Preparation of client facing reports to support client meetings and pipeline projects
Efficiently tracking and reporting progress/risks of tasks assigned.
Acting as 1st line support for any client enquires received via the client portal.
Working alongside account managers to provide support and ad-hoc reporting where required.
Location and working hours:
Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
Office location: Moorgate, London (WeWork) with flexibility to work from home as agreed with line manager.
Required skills and attributes:
Essential:
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Experienced in data input.
Excellent attention to detail and eye for accuracy.
Mathematical / analytics expertise.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident verbal and written communicator, with an ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
Ability to deliver clear, concise, and accurate information within a prescribed format and effectively communicate data to the client.
Ability to think outside the box, a good problem solver.
Uses initiative within the guidelines of agreed processes.
Desirable:
Degree educated in a relatable field (data/finance/energy).
Experience in tariff administration or a similar role within the energy industry.
Energy procurement
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the heat network sector.
