Job Description
We are seeking an experienced L2 Endpoint Systems Engineer to support our endpoint engineering team with a strong focus on patching operations and endpoint management. This role will work closely with existing team members to ensure endpoint devices are secure, compliant, and operationally healthy across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, ticket‑driven, and comfortable operating in an MSP or enterprise environment, with the ability to contribute immediately to patching efforts and assist with remediating a backlog of deployments in Liongard.
Key Responsibilities:
Endpoint Patching & Maintenance
• Perform patching and updates for client systems using Kaseya VSA.
• Manage and deploy operating system and application patches through Microsoft Intune.
• Support patching activities using Datto RMM, including monitoring, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring successful deployment.
• Generate and maintain patch compliance reports, ensuring systems meet security and compliance standards.
Endpoint Management & Automation
• Deploy, update, and manage third‑party applications across endpoint devices.
• Use PowerShell scripting to automate endpoint tasks, improve efficiency, and resolve recurring issues.
• Maintain endpoint performance, stability, and security across multiple environments.
Ticketing & Operational Support
• Handle and resolve incidents, service requests, and patch‑related issues via the ConnectWise ticketing system.
• Work independently on L2‑level tasks while escalating complex issues when appropriate.
• Follow defined SLAs and operational processes in a high‑volume, ticket‑driven environment.
Asset Management & Documentation (Liongard Focus)
• Maintain accurate endpoint documentation and asset visibility using Liongard.
• Assist with remediating an existing backlog of Liongard deployments, including:
• Reviewing and fixing failed or incomplete inspections
• Re‑establishing connections and configurations
• Cleaning up and validating asset data
• Ensure endpoint configurations and asset records are current and reliable.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in endpoint management, systems engineering, or desktop support roles
• Strong hands‑on experience with endpoint patching and update management
• Experience with one or more RMM/MDM tools such as Kaseya VSA, Microsoft Intune, or Datto RMM
• Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar ITSM/ticketing platforms
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in an L2 capacity with minimal supervision
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
• Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment
• Previous experience with Liongard, particularly asset management and remediation
• Exposure to patch compliance reporting and audit support
• Understanding of endpoint security best practices
Role Level & Expectations
• This is an L2‑level role, intended to provide immediate operational support
• The engineer will act as an extension of the existing team, helping reduce workload and improve consistency
• The role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, not a leadership or architecture position
