Endocrinologist (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Endocrinologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the endocrine system. This role focuses on the treatment of hormonal and metabolic conditions through evidence-based medical care, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to optimize long-term patient outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and lipid abnormalities
• Diagnose and treat complex hormonal imbalances and metabolic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide longitudinal outpatient care and inpatient consultations as needed
• Interpret and manage endocrine-related diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as nephrology, cardiology, oncology, and surgery
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle management
• Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers, diabetes educators, and trainees, as applicable
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiatives
• Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited internal medicine or pediatrics residency
• Completion of an accredited endocrinology fellowship program
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
• DEA registration or eligibility

• Manual dexterity for clinical examinations and office-based procedures
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and data interpretation
