We an immediate opening for a personable, outgoing, experienced EMT to join our progressive onsite medical team on a construction project in Waukee, Iowa. This is a full-time hourly role starting with a very competitive wage of $24-$26/hr!! with $5/hour night shift differential.
The role of this position is to provide injury triage and management, support the safety team, and to keep the workforce safe every day. We are seeking an individual who commands industry best practices, motivates the physical and mental well-being of the workforce and fosters a positive work environment.

A typical day in the life of an Occupational Healthcare Technician
· Understanding occupational medical care, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations
· Providing injury triage, treatment, and management
· Assessment and treatment of both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses according to Evidence Based Medical protocols
· Collaborating closely with project safety team and assisting with morning “Stretch and Flex” and site walks
· Provide superior customer service to our client and employees
· Conducting new hire procedures such as: jobsite orientation and drug testing
· Participating in the weekly on-site staff meeting conducted by Management to discuss cases and operations
· Understanding workers' compensation programs and risk management
· Helping to identify risks for workers
· Maintaining a fully stocked, organized, and clean medical clinic
· Working in coordination with medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, and client staff
· Build and maintain customer relationships through collaboration with project safety team
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of EMT experience.
Active Iowa EMT Certification
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Flexibility with work schedule

Strong leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in occupational health
Prior experience in emergency medicine (ambulance or ER)
Managerial experience
OSHA 30 training
ACLS, PHTLS, or ITLS certification
Physical Requirements
This role requires extensive physical strength, dexterity, and endurance to perform in fast-paced, high-stress environments—often under hazardous conditions.
Frequency Key:
Occasionally = 1–33% of time
Frequently = 34–66% of time
Continuously = 67–100% of time
Standing/Walking:
Frequently to continuously, including on various surfaces (cement, gravel, stairs, etc.), indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather. Must be able to run when necessary.
Sitting: Variable, dependent on situation and location.
Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts 50 lbs; occasionally lifts/carries 100+ lbs (patients, equipment).
Bending/Stooping: Frequently at 35–65° angles; may last 30+ minutes.
Crouching/Kneeling: Frequently up to 15 times per call, potentially prolonged.
Climbing: Occasionally required (stairs, vehicle entry/exit), often while carrying equipment or assisting patients.
Reaching: Frequently to continuously—includes extending arms in awkward or confined spaces.
Pushing/Pulling: Frequently—e.g., gurney operation, doors, CPR, or loading/unloading equipment.
Handling/Grasping: Continuously—requires a wide range of arm, wrist, and finger motions (grips, lifts, manipulations).
Hazards: Possible exposure to fumes, chemicals, bodily fluids, fire, extreme weather, violent patients, or bystanders. Strict adherence to safety and infection control policies is mandatory.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday 6:45am-5:00pm (Some Saturday's if requested by client); 20-24 months in duration.
