Employment Program Coordinator
Ruth & Naomi’s Mission – Chilliwack, BC
Ruth and Naomi’s Mission has been serving the Chilliwack community for over 20 years. What began as handing out sandwiches in downtown Chilliwack has grown into a multi-site organization supporting hundreds of individuals each day through shelter, recovery, and community programs.
We are a Christian faith-based organization committed to walking alongside people on a journey of recovery and transformation through the love of Jesus.
About the Role
We are seeking an Employment Program Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of Ruth & Naomi’s Mission’s Employment Program.
This program will provide meaningful work experience and skill development opportunities for participants through placements across the organization. The program will support individuals from across RAN programs as well as members of the broader community who are seeking employment readiness support.
This role works closely with program managers across departments to build pathways for participants to grow confidence, develop job skills, and move toward sustainable employment.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the development and implementation of the Employment Program
• Coordinate participant placements within Ruth’s Coffee and other program areas
• Collaborate with program managers across departments to support participant success
• Support participant recruitment, intake, and progress tracking
• Help create structured opportunities for participants to build workplace readiness skills
What You Bring
• Experience coordinating programs or supporting employment readiness initiatives
• Experience working with individuals experiencing barriers to employment
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and departments
• Willingness to respect and uphold the mission and values of Ruth & Naomi’s Mission
Compensation & Schedule
• $61,800 – $66,950 annually (dependent on experience)
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, schedule TBD
• Travel between Chilliwack sites required
• Extended health and RRSP benefits following probation for full-time employees
