Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Pay / Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $32.33 – $48.50/hr (based on experience)

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (with 2-year commitment)

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500

• Shift Differentials:

• Night Shift: +$3.00/hr

• Weekend Days: +$3.00/hr

• Weekend Nights: +$7.00/hr  

• Schedule / Shifts:

• Full-Time

Shifts Available: Nights, Days, Evenings (Rotating Weekends)

• Note: Night Shift includes cross-training opportunities for Med-Surg RNs

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers life-saving care to patients of all ages in an acute care emergency setting. The RN will be responsible for rapid triage, ongoing patient assessment, coordination of care, and maintaining high clinical standards in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and treat a diverse patient population with varying acuity

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure appropriate care and follow-up

• Document patient care accurately and efficiently

• Monitor patient status and respond to changes with clinical urgency

• Promote patient safety and ensure a compassionate care experience

• Education:

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (required)

• BSN preferred or must be enrolled in a BSN program

• Licensure:

• Active RN License in Virginia or Compact RN License eligible for VA practice

• Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)

• Experience:

• At least 1 year of ER nursing preferred

• Med-Surg RNs welcome (with night shift cross-training available)
