Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.

This dynamic role requires a quick-thinking, decisive, and adaptable professional to provide nursing care for cases ranging from minor injuries to critically ill patients. The ER RN manages multiple cases simultaneously, utilizing strong assessment skills to treat patients of all ages, while maintaining a collaborative, patient-focused, and safety-aware environment at all times.

Job Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat a diverse patient population of all ages presenting in the Emergency Room.
• Manage multiple cases concurrently, continually prioritizing needs while providing comprehensive general nursing care.
• Identify expected patient outcomes and develop care plans that prescribe effective strategies and alternatives to attain those outcomes.
• Provide follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals upon discharge from the ER.
• Coordinate patient care functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, ensuring a patient-focused and safety-aware approach.
• Serve as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring consistent and excellent care delivery in a collaborative manner.
• Document all assessments, treatments, and coordination efforts accurately and promptly in the patient's medical record.

Requirements:
Education

• Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma is required.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree/diploma).

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of Recent (within the last year) Acute Care RN experience is REQUIRED.
• Experience in an Emergency Department setting is highly desirable (implied by the job title).

Certifications/Licenses

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
