Pay Range: $79,000 – $110,000/year (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead the daily operations and clinical functions of the Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center. This leadership role oversees 45 direct reports within a department of 73 FTEs, ensuring patient-centered care, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and operations of the Emergency Department.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care to enhance safety and quality outcomes.
• Manage personnel activities including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.
• Provide consistent leadership and expertise to support the nursing team.
• Address patient, visitor, and physician concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate across disciplines to improve care delivery and outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure compliance with unit-specific standards.
• Manage department goals, safety initiatives, and operational workflows.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
Licensure
• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State
Certifications
• BCLS within 30 days of hire
Experience
• Minimum 1–3 years of clinical leadership experience – Required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing – Required

• Trauma Level: III
• Team Size: 45 direct reports, 73 total FTEs (including PRN staff)
