Position Overview
Madera Community Hospital is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Emergency Department team. This role offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering timely, evidence-based emergency care while contributing to departmental growth, quality improvement initiatives, and a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
Rapidly assess, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and traumatic injuries
Collaborate closely with on-call specialists, hospitalists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
Participate in Emergency Department quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
Engage in shared shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
Active California medical license or eligibility
Strong commitment to mission-driven, community-focused care
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
