Job Purpose:

As the EMEA Account  Manager, you will manage and grow existing business mainly in the DACH / Benelux regions and be part of the driving force behind new sales opportunities and project development.

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, you will manage and strengthen Probi’s relationships with existing customers to support their growth and innovation, while also cultivating new opportunities. This will lead to new projects, additional business, and reinforcing our long-term partnerships.

As part of the EMEA team, supported by your manager and the Probi organization, you will be expected to effectively manage your assigned territories and business, based on your market knowledge and expertise, and also to contribute to the go-to-market strategy for the region.

Location is remote within the DACH or Benelux area.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Account Management: Serve as the key liaison in customer relationships, maintaining ongoing business, and driving growth and innovation

Drive Growth: Independently deliver revenue and growth in your assigned markets

Customer Interface: Act as the primary interface between customers and Probi

Sales Process: Lead each step of the sales process, from identifying prospective customers to closing deals

Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key functions and stakeholders at all levels within customer organizations, as well as internally where you work proactively to establish and drive cross-functional collaboration

Product Presentation: Present the features and benefits of Probi products and services, backed by clinical research. Of note, the portfolio is fast evolving and will evolve over the course of employment

On-Site Engagement: Conduct on-site sales meetings with customers and prospects, involving key stakeholders from both organizations

Strategic Planning: Develop short- and medium-term commercial plans in collaboration with sales leadership, marketing, product functions and R&D

Market Alignment: Align go-to-market activities in the region and coordinate with marketing and sales team members

Reporting: Complete and maintain accurate reporting of all sales activities in CRM (SalesForce or other tools) on a weekly basis, including updates of sales projections and customer opportunities

Continuous Learning: Improve your product knowledge, industry familiarity, and sales techniques continuously

Special Projects: Take on special projects as assigned, such as strategic sales plans for key accounts, other strategic or tactical tasks in the region, and/or collaborative travel with other account managers

Professionalism: Exhibit a professional demeanor and establish rapport with prospects, customers, and co-workers

Feedback: Provide prompt feedback to management on all interactions with prospects, customers, competitors, and industry contacts

Compliance: Adhere to company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook

Travel: Be prepared to travel up to 20-40% as required

 

What You Bring to the Table:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a natural ability to build trust and deliver value to existing customers

Proven ability to generate interest in specialty ingredient solutions, with a strong capability to present complex, science-based concepts compellingly to create new business opportunities and drive growth

7+ years of professional business-to-business sales experience within the European nutraceutical/supplements industry, preferably in the biotics or branded specialty ingredient segments

Strong negotiation skills with a focus on selling based on value rather than price

Fluent in written and spoken English, German and preferably one other major European language

Bachelor's degree or higher in a commercial or scientific field

Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix organization, positively influencing others and building positive working relationships

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce

A results-oriented approach with a competitive edge, always aiming to exceed targets and outperform the competition

A strong sense of responsibility and ownership, ensuring follow-through on commitments and consistently delivering high-quality results
