Embedded Streaming Engineer Intern

Team Summary

Our team develops and maintains streaming functionality for smart camera embedded systems. We focus on C++ firmware development, feature integration, defect resolution, and in-depth technical debugging.

In addition to core development, we analyze device metrics and investigate customer-impacting issues to ensure stable, high-performance video streaming. The team operates across multiple locations, with English as the primary working language. We follow established engineering practices, including code reviews, structured testing, and systematic root-cause analysis.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Streaming Engineer Intern to join our embedded systems team.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of smart camera firmware responsible for H.264/H.265 video streaming over RTP/RTCP. You will work with embedded platforms, support performance improvements, and help diagnose streaming and networking issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware components for H.264/H.265 video streaming over RTP/RTCP

• Optimize streaming performance on RTOS platforms (e.g., FreeRTOS) and Embedded Linux using C++

• Diagnose and debug streaming issues using device logs and network traces

• Analyze device metrics and support investigation of customer issues

• Contribute to unit and end-to-end testing

• Debug networking behavior using tools such as Wireshark

• Participate in technical discussions with the team

Qualifications and Skills

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

• Basic knowledge of C/C++

• Understanding of Linux at application level

• Familiarity with RTOS concepts (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr)

• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP, UDP)

• Academic or hobby exposure to embedded development

• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CMake

• Basic familiarity with GStreamer or FFmpeg

• Awareness of RTP libraries (e.g., uvgRTP)

• Familiarity with network debugging tools such as Wireshark
