Job Description

The Embedded Security Manager is responsible for delivering full time, on site corporate security support for Mexico Corporate Operations, primarily in Mexico City and Guadalajara. This role ensures the protection of employees, facilities, and operations by overseeing daily security functions, coordinating incident response, evaluating risks, and engaging directly with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Main responsabilities:

Security Operations

• Manage daily security operations across the Mexico corporate portfolio, including access control, turnstiles, lobby procedures, and alignment with building administration.

• Oversee guard force operations (without direct management authority), including coordination with the primary vendor, handling rotations, staffing needs, and performance gaps.

• Coordinate incident response for internal events involving employees, vendors, visitors, executive drivers, or inter-floor conflicts.

• Support and execute security plans, policies, and corporate security programs within office environments.

• Monitor external threat environments—including protests, labor-related demonstrations, and incidents involving sellers—and escalate when required.

• Ensure security coverage for concerts, social events, and corporate gatherings, including risk reviews and on-site coordination.

Risk Management and Assessment

• Conduct security assessments and internal audits across assigned floors and office spaces.

• Identify, document, and escalate security gaps, operational vulnerabilities, and compliance issues.

• Support drill and exercise programs related to emergency preparedness, evacuations, and critical incident response.

• Monitor and verify functionality of security systems and infrastructure, including CCTV, access control systems, and emergency equipment.

• Prepare post-incident documentation and continuous improvement recommendations.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a security advisor for assigned corporate locations, offering guidance to executive assistants, internal teams, and operational managers.

• Maintain strong working relationships with the building’s head of security and facilities management.

• Coordinate with local law enforcement, external partners, and government representatives when needed, especially during visits, protests, or special operations.

• Support and manage high-profile visits (e.g., executives, ambassadors, international representatives), ensuring secure arrival, routing, and departure logistics.

• Contribute to security communications, reporting, and escalation pathways for leadership.

Requirements:
• 4–7 years of experience managing corporate security operations in office environments.

• Advanced knowledge of access control systems, CCTV operations, lobby procedures, and visitor/contractor processes.

• Prior experience working with or supervising guard forces (indirect management).

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate incident response involving personnel, vendors, or facility issues.

• Experience supporting corporate events, executive visits, and special activities requiring elevated security.

• Ability to monitor and interpret external threat environments (protests, labor actions, socio‑political context).

• Experience conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and floor‑by‑floor security checks.

• Ability to identify operational vulnerabilities, compliance issues, or gaps in physical security infrastructure.

• Familiarity with emergency preparedness programs, evacuation drills, and crisis response protocols.

• Knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting for security hardware (CCTV, ACS, alarms, emergency equipment).

• Strong documentation skills for incident reports, after‑action reviews, and improvement plans.

• Strong interpersonal skills to serve as a trusted advisor for executive assistants, building administration, and internal teams.

• Proven ability to work effectively with building security leadership and property management.

• Experience engaging with police, government representatives, and external security partners.

• Skills in coordinating VIP or high‑profile visits, including route planning and secure movement.

• Capability to provide concise briefs, escalations, and written security communications for leadership.

Desired competencies

• Language: Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).

• Certifications (preferred): CPP, PSP, or equivalent corporate security credentials.

• Tools: Proficiency in access control platforms, CCTV management systems, incident reporting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Behavioral traits: High integrity, discretion, situational awareness, proactivity, and strong decision‑making under pressure.
