Embedded C Software Engineer | Automatic Flight Control Systems team

We are looking forward to meeting Embedded C Software Engineers, to develop software for Garmin Avionics, including performing software design, development, and testing for OEM and retrofit avionics products.

Currently, we have one opening for the following project:

Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) – in this team you will be responsible for the development and certification of aviation safety critical software involved in automatic flight control systems going into certified airplanes and helicopters.

Requirements:
• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics or another relevant engineering/technical field
• Strong programming skills and knowledge of C
• Experience in low-level programming
• Demonstrates mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, simulators, static code analysis, and logic analyzers)
• Collaborate closely with product teams to integrate new features and technology into product platforms
• Detail-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• At least 3 years of relevant experience

Would be a plus

• Experience with signal processing
• Experience in developing safety-critical software following DO-178B standard
• Strong knowledge of Python 3, C++, C#
• Familiarity with Java/JavaScript
• A research oriented mindset
