About the Role
At Homey, our in-house design team manages all creative execution, while this role focuses on driving strategic marketing performance. We are seeking a Freelance/ Consultancy basis Digital Marketing Strategist with a strong emphasis on email marketing, cold outreach, and customer acquisition.
You will be responsible for curating and leading data-driven marketing strategies that improve lead generation, engagement, and conversion performance. This includes cold email campaigning, lifecycle automation, segmentation strategy, and performance optimisation.
You will work closely with the internal design team by providing clear campaign briefs and strategic direction, while they support execution of creative assets.
This is a flexible, remote freelance role designed for an experienced marketing strategist who can independently drive measurable growth.
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in digital marketing, preferably in a strategic or consultancy role
• Strong expertise in email marketing and cold outreach
• Proven success in lead generation and acquisition campaigns
• Deep understanding of deliverability, sender reputation, and cold email systems
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills
• Experience with Mailchimp, Brevo, and similar platforms
• Ability to work independently in a remote freelance setup
• Strong collaboration skills with design and creative teams
Email Marketing & Cold Outreach (Primary Focus)
• Lead end-to-end email marketing strategy including cold outreach, newsletters, and lifecycle campaigns
• Execute high-performing cold email campaigns focused on acquisition and conversion
• Develop messaging strategies, hooks, and targeting frameworks for cold audiences
• Manage deliverability, domain reputation, and sender performance
• Build segmentation strategies, automated drip campaigns, and list hygiene processes
• Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, copy, and timing
• Work with platforms such as Mailchimp, Brevo, and Stripo (design supported internally)
• Monitor and report key metrics such as open rates, CTR, conversions, and deliverability
Analytics & Reporting
• Set up tracking systems (UTMs, pixels, conversion tracking)
• Produce performance reports with actionable insights
• Optimise campaigns based on data and user behaviour
Social Media and Paid Advertising (Optional / Bonus)
• Develop content calendars and posting strategies
• Identify high-performing content formats and engagement strategies
• Analyse performance data to improve content and audience growth
• Manage Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns if experienced
• Optimise ad spend for ROAS and CAC efficiency
• Provide creative direction briefs for ad variations
