Elementary STAAR Math Contract Tutor, Grades 4-5

We are currently seeking Elementary STAAR Math tutors for grades 3-5 from January to April 2026 with the qualifications described below.

Qualifications: 

A current Texas teacher certification in Elementary Education (EC-6), Mathematics (4-8), or related content area. 

3+ years of relevant teaching experience in elementary mathematics. 

2 to 3 professional references who can speak to your effectiveness as a classroom instructor, including a Principal or Assistant Principal. 

Verified passage of a background check via a Texas school district or similar entity within the last 3 years. 

Strong knowledge of the 3rd to 5th grade Math TEKS standards. 

Successful STAAR Math student achievement scores.

Availability to tutor 3 days per week across 11 to 12 weeks during school hours for 4 to 6 hours per day in North Houston (Spring). 

Experience with small group interventions and test preparation strategies that have been proven to increase student achievement. 

Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data to drive interventions. 

Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff quickly. 

Consultant (Tutor) will be expected to:

Create and implement individualized student support plans focused on STAAR Math readiness. 

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. 

Utilize data to identify student learning growth and/or mastery as well as areas for improvement. 

Implement targeted interventions aligned to STAAR Math objectives. 

Manage student behavior in tutorial groups.

Schedule: January to April 2026, 11-12 weeks, 3 visits per week, 4 to 6 hours per visit
