Purpose Statement
Hoskin Scientific sells, services, and rents industry-leading equipment and supplies for Geomatics, Drones ,Construction, Materials Testing, and Locating professionals. With over 10 years of experience, we are committed to providing customers with the best experience possible through comprehensive product support and competitive pricing. Based in our Calgary office, your main duties will include servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating Measur and Hoskin equipment. You will also be providing top-notch customer service with a positive attitude.
Principal Accountabilities

Work safely and in alignment with all health & safety regulations.
Be knowledgeable on multiple Measur and Hoskin products. (Internal & factory training will be provided.)
Manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and in a timely fashion.
Quote repairs, lead times, and terms to all customers and schedule timely follow-up.
Communicate electronically and/or via phone with Hoskin’s customers and manufacturers to help troubleshoot customer’s devices.
Support all product Electrical Inspections.
Be a reliable service resource for external and internal customers.
Support to the Rental depart as directed by management.
Work with our business programs and related systems to capture customer information and service activity.
Troubleshooting and repairs to board level and component level repair when required.
Service, calibrate, and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
Efforts are required to maintain existing business and seek new business.
Work is generally based in our Calgary location. Some travel to customers and training will be required.
Support other offices in peak periods and for vacation and sick coverage.
Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts.
Be willing to cross-train and learn other skills.
Other duties as required by management.
Education / Experience
A post-secondary education in electrical or electronics engineering technology
Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics
Knowledge of Electronic board function.
Ability to operate an oscilloscope.
Must be able to lift 86 lbs.
Possess avid knowledge of using power and hand tools and exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills
Three to four years of industry-related disciplines
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based applications.
Proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company
Must be organized.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
A positive attitude is essential
