We are currently seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Ottawa based team.

What will you be doing? 

As the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician will be responsible and accountable for the manufacture and repair of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.

Build electro-mechanical assemblies with high levels of quality.

Ensuring soldering and electrical looming is carried out to a high standard.

Manufacture of cable assemblies and electrical installation of wiring looms

Reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings, general assembly instructions schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans.

Metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending and use of hand tools.

Documentation (BOMs, and drawings and electrical schematics).

Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems

Verify adherence to specifications and requirements with in-process and final inspection.

What do we need from you?

Experience within a manufacturing environment ideally aerospace or robotics.

Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly.

Highly proficient with hand soldering, crimping and jointing skills. 

Previously certified to IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 would be preferred.

Ability to read Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) would be an asset. 

Experience with JIRA software is considered beneficial.

Experience working with AS9100D or ISO/TS 16949 quality systems is considered an asset.
