Electrical Technician

Job Requisition – Electrical Technician

Roles and Responsibilities:

-          Assemble and test payloads

-          Configure circuit boards, electrical assemblies and mechanical assemblies

-          Read & understand wiring harness drawings & create schematic based on the harness layout.

-          Integrate and test equipment operation with various software and electronic tools.

-          Troubleshoot broken equipment; mechanically and electrically.

-          Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) on vessels returning from deployment.

-          Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, understanding and maintaining work orders, and maintaining accurate inventory counts.

-          Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to our plant operation.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

-          4 – 8 years experience, or 2 year technical degree and 2 years experience

Preferred Skills:

-          Certified in IPC/WHMA-A-620E Class 3 Standard

-          Certified in IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 Standard

-          Experience in satellite communications, including BGAN and Starlink.

-          Experience using electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, and multimeters.

-          Knowledge about data transmission systems including CAN (NMEA2000) and ethernet.

-          Experience in soldering and splicing cables

-          Experience with preventative maintenance cycles on complex mechanical and electrical systems

-          Strong written and verbal communication skills

-          Flexibility to work overtime and meet tight deadlines

-          Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

-          Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

-          Ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, and working in confined spaces. 

       Ready to work in various outdoor conditions

U.S. citizenship required as this position entails access to Controlled Unclassed Information.   

Some sea trips may be required (0 – 10%)

International Travel may be required
