Electrical Project Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects, typically ranging from $5M to $20M. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids and supporting preconstruction efforts from initial review through bid submission. The position works closely with project managers, vendors, and field teams to ensure scope alignment and cost accuracy. This is a strong opportunity for someone with a proven background in bidding mid-to-large scale electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop accurate project budgets
• Review project plans and specifications to identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction and project handoff
• Participate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and internal estimating meetings
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners
• Track bid performance and maintain historical cost data for future estimates
• Support change order pricing and cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial or industrial construction
• Experience estimating and bidding electrical projects in the $5M to $20M range
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Experience with estimating and takeoff software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Electrical trade background or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
