Orascom E&C USA is seeking an Electrical Procurement Engineer to be located in our McLean, VA office.
What You’ll Do:
Managing the procurement cycle from quotation requisitions, order issuance, orders milestone completion, payment approval, orders closing.
Ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards as well as Company Policies, Procedures and guidelines
Reviewing Designer specifications and ensuring that vendors offer comply with the specifications.
Review supplier technical documentation, test reports, and quality records to verify full compliance with project specifications, purchase order requirements, and approved submittals.
Interface with project managers, project engineers, lead discipline engineers and assigned project personnel during project execution.
Work with other managerial staff to ensure project completion in an efficient manner and achieving the goals ofthe company C organization.
Provides timely, effective and efficient reporting of project procurement status as necessary
Manage vendors on site services such as startup and commissioning services as may be needed by project team
Contribute in problem solving of any conflicts arising between suppliers and site team.
Build strong relationships with key vendors.
Electrical engineering/procurement experience (technical review of offers, vendor management, negotiations, follow up)
Thorough technical knowledge of electrical equipment and materials
Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
Talent in negotiating and networking.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement engineering.
Electrical engineering experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in construction or EPC projects is a strong advantage.
Skills:
Strong time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to balance and prioritize projects with impending deadlines
Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Finance, & Project Teams)
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Technology:
Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Apple products (iPhone & iPad) and have the ability to learn specific software.
Training will be provided on company standards.
