Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of low-voltage power distribution equipment, with a strong focus on switchboard systems supporting data center and industrial applications.

This role blends technical leadership and hands-on engineering, overseeing design execution while guiding a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across engineering, production, and customer-facing functions to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient solutions.

What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and support a team of electrical and mechanical engineers

• Promote accountability, clear ownership, and timely project delivery

• Provide technical guidance and review engineering outputs, including drawings and specifications

• Drive improvements in engineering workflows, tools, and documentation practices

Design & Technical Oversight

• Lead the design and development of low-voltage switchboard systems (including UL 891 and UL 1558 standards)

• Ensure designs align with customer requirements, system diagrams, and operational needs

• Oversee system components such as circuit breakers, bus systems, metering, controls, and protection schemes

• Support efforts to standardize products and improve scalability through modular design approaches

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and production-ready

• Partner with sales and estimating teams on quotes, bill of materials (BOM), and technical solutions

• Participate in customer discussions, including design reviews and technical clarifications

• Coordinate with supply chain teams on component selection and vendor alignment

Compliance, Testing & Quality

• Ensure all designs meet applicable UL standards, NEC requirements, and industry regulations

• Support factory testing, validation, and commissioning activities

• Maintain proper documentation for certifications, testing procedures, and design verification

Project & Program Management

• Oversee engineering schedules to align with overall project timelines

• Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies

• Support execution of large-scale and complex engineering programs

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• 7+ years of experience in switchboard, panelboard, or power distribution system design

• Previous experience in a leadership or management role

• Strong understanding of UL standards, NEC, and power systems (data center experience preferred)

• Experience collaborating with manufacturing, supply chain, and cross-functional teams
