Join our team as an Electrical Engineer Co-op and gain hands-on experience in the development of cutting-edge Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, testing, and integration of high-frequency electronics, antennas, and embedded systems used in subsurface imaging and detection technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and testing of RF circuits, antennas, and signal processing components for GPR systems.
Support PCB layout, schematic capture, and hardware prototyping.
Conduct lab testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into GPR platforms.
Help troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and production units.
Document engineering processes, test results, and design iterations.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Coursework or experience in signal processing, FPGA, or embedded systems.
Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
Basic understanding of microcontrollers, FPGAs, sensors, and interfaces.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with GPR or other radar technologies.
Experience in RF design
Exposure to C/C++ or Python for embedded development.
Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in high-frequency systems.
Familiarity with lab equipment and RF testing procedures.
