Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer for the development, integration, characterization, and troubleshooting of subsystem-level electrical testers. This role is highly technical and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on practical hardware engineering.
The ideal candidate should have 4–8 years of recent hands-on experience in designing and building electronics and semi-automated test systems, integrating hardware/software, and debugging complex electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities
Tester Development & Integration
• Design, build, and maintain subsystem characterization testers:
• Power distribution and protection
• Signal conditioning and measurement
• Control, interlocks, and safety circuits
• Develop custom test hardware (fixtures, wiring harnesses, test jigs)
• Integrate testers with:
• Mechanical fixtures
• Sensors, actuators, power electronics, embedded systems
• Lab and production environments
Electrical Characterization & Debugging
• Perform subsystem electrical characterization:
• Voltage/current measurements
• Signal integrity and timing analysis
• Noise and grounding
• Troubleshoot issues in:
• Analog and digital electronics
• Power supplies, converters, motor drives
• Communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB)
Hands-On Lab Execution
• Execute testing in lab environments:
• Bring-up of testers and subsystems
• Debug under schedule pressure
• Support verification and troubleshooting
• Use lab equipment:
• Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power analyzers
• Environmental and stress testing setups
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in:
• Test system development
• Subsystem-level electrical integration & characterization
• Experience in:
• Analog & digital circuit design/debugging
• Power electronics (low-voltage/high-current systems)
• Strong troubleshooting skills using lab tools
• Experience across full lifecycle: concept → build → bring-up → support
Strongly Preferred
• Embedded subsystems
• Motion control systems
• Sensor & transducer technologies
• Power distribution systems
• Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485)
Preferred Qualifications
• Medical device experience
• Familiarity with industry standards
• Exposure to PLM tools and change management
• EMI/EMC knowledge in harness design
Key Skills
• Wire harness design & routing
• Electrical schematics interpretation
• NX Routing (3D harness design)
• Component selection & validation
• Strong analytical and communication skills
