Electrical Engineer – R&D and Product Development

VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT solution is proven to be one of the safest, most durable and environmentally friendly battery technologies.

VFlowTech is involved in the design and development of Advanced Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids based on Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFB).

• Design, develop and test power/control circuits required in the product design such as black start operation, auxiliary power circuit designs, pump control, VFD programming, converter pre-charge, sensor circuit, etc.
• Understand the logic diagram of battery operation and test the product for reliability and long-term data.
• Learn to design the electrical part of the energy storage suitable for AC and DC microgrids.
• Review alternative components of the existing electrical BOM to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Support in developing BMS and EMS.
• Troubleshoot needed to make sure all machines are running as efficiently as possible.
• Speak to vendors and partners globally for sourcing of new components.

• Undergraduate or postgraduate with 3-to-5-year of working experience at an industrial R&D.
• Some experiences with PLC and HMI programming in C++, Python, Java, Jave Script.
• Good knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus-RTU, CAN bus, etc.
• Knowledge of microgrid and microgrid control, an advantage.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Should be self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be eager to learn new things.
• Dynamic person to work closely with SG and India teams.
