Electrical Engineer – Production Support - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1st shift)Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 with Government benefitsSecurity Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required
Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support production and manufacturing operations within a high-impact defense environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, production support, and engineering change management for complex electronic systems.
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly assess technical issues, develop resolution plans, and lead cross-functional teams through problem resolution.
What You Will Do
• Rapidly assess technical issues and determine root cause and resolution path
• Identify required information, resources, and prioritize based on urgency
• Develop and communicate troubleshooting and corrective action plans to cross-functional teams
• Drive issue resolution to completion, including status updates and stakeholder communication
• Support production factory and supplier issue resolution
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of technical data packages
• Create and manage engineering change documentation using cPDM
• Present change packages at Review Boards / Change Boards
• Participate in peer reviews across Engineering and Operations teams
• Troubleshoot hardware using lab equipment such as:
• Oscilloscopes
• Logic analyzers
• Function generators
• Programmable power supplies
• Spectrum/network analyzers
• Analyze defect and yield data to identify trends and implement process improvements
• Perform general electrical engineering tasks related to production support
Qualifications – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Digital, analog, RF, or mixed-signal testing/debugging
• Complex circuit card assemblies (CCA) or electro-mechanical systems
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
• Experience supporting manufacturing/test of electronic assemblies
• Proficiency with lab equipment:
• Oscilloscopes
• Logic analyzers
• Function generators
• Power supplies
• Ability to interpret:
• Schematics
• PCB layouts
• Bills of Materials (BoMs)
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting production engineering in a defense environment
• Electrical design experience with:
• Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
• RF, EO, seeker/sensor systems
• Electronic subsystems
• Experience with test equipment, automation, and production/supplier support
• Familiarity with tools such as:
• Mentor Graphics Designer
• PSPICE
• MATLAB / Mathcad / IDL
• CST / HFSS / ADS
• Experience with:
• Subsystem integration and test
• Post-test/flight analysis
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a small technical team
• Experience providing:
• Technical oversight and direction
• Cost estimation and tracking
• Detailed reporting and proposal support
