Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer / Electrical Designer to join our growing team in Upper Arlington, OH. This full-time opportunity supports a wide range of commercial design projects throughout Upper Arlington and the surrounding area. The role is structured to allow professionals to start in a hands-on engineering/design capacity while building a path toward Project Engineer or Project Manager responsibilities over time. Candidates with experience in commercial, retail, office, and healthcare electrical systems will thrive in this collaborative Upper Arlington environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for commercial, office, retail, healthcare, and mixed-use facilities in Upper Arlington, OH.
• Create power distribution layouts, grounding plans, lighting systems, and control system designs.
• Assist with equipment sizing, load calculations, and specification development.
• Produce and review detailed drawings and electrical schematics.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, mechanical teams, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Perform site visits to evaluate existing field conditions and support renovation or expansion work.
• Stay current with applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain electrical specifications and related project documentation.
• Build productive relationships with internal team members, consultants, and manufacturer representatives.

Requirements:
• Experience in electrical design for commercial building projects.
• Working knowledge of system components, materials, and electrical equipment.
• Strong analytical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is a plus.
• Foundational understanding of electrical calculations and related mathematics.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-driven setting in Upper Arlington, OH.
