Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer / Electrical Designer in Columbus, OH to support the growth and expansion of our commercial design projects. This full‑time role offers the opportunity to begin as an Electrical Engineer/Designer with potential advancement to Project Manager or Project Engineer over time. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial, office, retail, and healthcare electrical systems, a strong technical foundation, and the desire to contribute to high‑quality, collaborative work.

The salary for this position is $70,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for commercial, office, retail, healthcare, and other project types.
• Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specification and selection.
• Prepare and review schematics for various electrical systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated designs.
• Conduct on‑site investigations to verify existing conditions.
• Develop familiarity with current electrical codes and standards.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with multidisciplinary team members and manufacturer representatives.
• Prepare and maintain general and electrical specifications.

Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with system‑specific materials, components, and equipment.
• Solid analytical ability and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is desirable but not required.
• Basic understanding of higher‑level mathematics related to electrical design.
